➡️Critical Effort: Feeding Displaced In Gaza
Without fuel and water, cooking is one of the most challenging tasks for a refugee family. Palestine Charity Team is dedicated to providing a hot meal, cooked over open flames, to the families of Rafah and Khan Younis. As soon as the smell of cooking winds through the camps, people begin to line up to receive the food of the day. Starvation is advancing daily. Children are thinner and hungry.
We have collected cooking equipment and wood from around Rafah and our volunteers start early with the fires and the water. Lentils are a staple of our kitchen. Vegetables and meat when we can get them. Bread is no longer available.
This is a heart wrenching task for the faithful volunteers who are often hungry themselves. Worried about their families. Afraid of the conflict. But every morning when food is available, they awaken and go to work.
It is because of these generous donors that some people get the only meal for the day. We serve families who have lost everything and are unable to cook at all. We serve children who have lost their families. Come one, come all.
